Journal of Media Studies

The new Journal of Media Studies proposes to create space for sharing original research papers written on Indian media including cinema, advertisements, television, public service media and new media in the internet. Prority would be accorded to papers written to analyze, explore, and present experimentation to curve out spaces for the cultures of fragile and marginal communities. The relationship between the media and its influence on public spheres is one of the research areas that is close to the other researches carried out by National Folklore Support Centre.

We plan to launch the first issue of Journal of Media Studies by June 2011.
